I am running because Mukilteo is in a unique moment of growth with untapped opportunities to strengthen our local economy and reinvest in our community. I am excited by the many opportunities at Mukilteo Waterfront and other areas of community gathering. As a small business owner and mother of four children in Mukilteo Public Schools, I care deeply about the future of our community.
After beginning my career teaching all ages, from pre-school to graduate school, and receiving my PhD in theatre education, I paused to raise small children. After experiencing the loss of my mom to cancer, my passion was sparked and I transitioned my career focus, advocating for patients rights.
Because of our unique waterfront location and associated commerce, I am committed to growing locally owned businesses that highlight the entrepreneurial spirit of Mukilteo. The success of our community will help grow essential community programs for business equity, family food security, and affordable housing. I am passionate about and prepared to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, representing your voice on the Council.
